no $2k big screen tv in the near future?
Monday, October 25th, 2004Intel reevaluates(i.e. gets rid of) Liquid Crystal on Silicon project.
Well that sucks. I was hoping for cheap humongo TV. And it’s a sign that AMD is really killing Intel. Which I don’t mind so much. I never did understand Intel’s penchant for Rambus.

Fedora Webserver
Wednesday, October 13th, 2004I’m also trying to rig up a new webserver that’s on Fedora so I can get regular updates to the packages. I installed Fedora Core 3, test 2. It’s been patching itself for a few hours now. Hopefully after that I can get the mail up and running. Then I’ll work on the webserver. Maybe I’ll try and get the campage back up and running too, now that my wireless network is actually extant.

on-call
Monday, October 11th, 2004I’m on-call this week. And on-call on the new team is a bit serious.
webserver is back up
Friday, October 8th, 2004no one complained, so I’m guessing that’s not how most of my readers find me. Anyhow, it’s back up. I really need to rig up a monitoring setup of some sort. I didn’t even notice it was down for quite a while.
wireless network update
Sunday, October 3rd, 2004It appears the problem was my base station. Or at least that’s my latest suspicion. We’ll see how long I can manage to stay online.
