Monday, June 2nd, 2008I know, it’s not tech, but they’re really pretty. I was down in Butler, Missouri with my friends Phil Williams and Jesse Porter. We were outside when I spotted this enormous “butterfly” at the bottom of a telephone pole. So I got home, did a little googling and found out that my butterfly was actually a Giant Silkworm Moth.
They’re kind of cool. During their moth stage they actually don’t eat. They just mate for a week or so and die. Here’s more over at Wikipedia.
